Kayaking at Heart

Thinking of some who lived in real hard times - humanly speaking. One man who I love to read made much of his time..........and somehow found it sublime. Late in life, as vicar of St. Dunstan-in-the-West, I wonder if he pondered some of the slime its patron had endured even while brilliantly celebrating HIS time?

I always think of Dunstan when I think of Donne, and today, paddling out into the harbor toward Little Africa in my mind, I bring with me these effluent words of comfort- for my time....

Warm November Day

Today was warm and the sunshine backlit the gorgeous fall leaves grasses and fruits. As I went about my day's work and errands, I kept my camera near and found a few lovely mementoes for my library,
